TechCrunch
Content Lead
Nov 2021 – Current

When I joined the TechCrunch Podcast team, there were two podcasts—Equity and Found—and now we have The TechCrunch Podcast Network. Two weeks after I came on full-time, the producer of Equity—our most popular and longest-running podcast left to pursue another opportunity which left me to fill his shoes. Since then, I’ve played an integral role in launching three podcasts: our weekly news round-up, The TechCrunch Podcast, our event recap The TechCrunch Live Podcast, and our crypto show, Chain Reaction. Currently, I produce Found and The TechCrunch Podcasts and help oversee The TechCrunch Live Podcast, Chain Reaction, and Equity. Day to day I do everything from scheduling guests to conducting research and scripting to coordinating with our top-notch editor and doing some editing myself to publishing and promoting episodes. I also lead our special projects which are short-series docu-podcasts diving into specific topics. Since I joined the team, both listenership and ad revenue have seen a marked increase. My focus is on helping the hosts and reporters not only feel extremely comfortable on mic but have all of the support they need to make informative, authentic, impactful podcasts.

BUILT BY GIRLS

July 2018 – Nov 2021

I was one of the 6 people who make up BUILT BY GIRLS. It was a small, nimble team and each of us had to be the absolute authority on our work stream. As the Content Lead, I was responsible for planning our content strategy from a bird’s eye view over the whole year, to each individual project. I also executed the copy and content for those individual projects like the BUILT BY GIRLS Summit Toolkit or the Hotline Video series. I wrote and produced a weekly newsletter that goes out to our student community and covers everything from nailing the interview to creating an equitable workplace. I also edited and frequently wrote for the BUILT BY GIRLS Blog. In this role, I was able to work closely with every member of the team and contribute holistically to our product, while maintaining frequent communication with our audience.
