TechCrunch
Senior Reporter
Nov 2021 – Current
When I joined the TechCrunch Podcast team, there were two podcasts—Equity and Found—and now we have The TechCrunch Podcast Network. Two weeks after I came on full-time, the producer of Equity—our most popular and longest-running podcast left to pursue another opportunity which left me to fill his shoes. Since then, I’ve played an integral role in launching three podcasts: our weekly news round-up, The TechCrunch Podcast, our event recap The TechCrunch Live Podcast, and our crypto show, Chain Reaction.
Currently, I produce TechCrunch’s weekly interview-format podcast, StrictlyVC Download. I research and provide questions and an outline to our hosts. I also coordinate with our editor and the social media team.
Additionally, I am the point video editor on staff. I work with the ad sales, events, and social media teams to create promotional video assets and engaging content.
Last year, produced the TechCrunch Minute, a daily video show where we cover the top news stories in tech. For this project, I have my hands in everything from pitching ideas to scripting to collecting b-roll, and writing social copy. I’ve been a jack-of-all-trades on this project and have learned so much about what goes into a daily project.
I also oversee a lot of the tasks that go into marketing, promoting, and monetizing the TechCrunch Podcast Network as a whole. This includes writing a newsletter updating our audience on episode releases, coordinating with the social team and writing social copy for each episode, working with our sales team to produce ad spots, and whatever else comes up to get our podcasts in front of more listeners.
BUILT BY GIRLS
Content Lead
July 2018 – Nov 2021
I was one of the 6 people who make up BUILT BY GIRLS. It was a small, nimble team and each of us had to be the absolute authority on our work stream. As the Content Lead, I was responsible for planning our content strategy from a bird’s eye view over the whole year, to each individual project. I also executed the copy and content for those individual projects like the BUILT BY GIRLS Summit Toolkit or the Hotline Video series. I wrote and produced a weekly newsletter that goes out to our student community and covers everything from nailing the interview to creating an equitable workplace. I also edited and frequently wrote for the BUILT BY GIRLS Blog. In this role, I was able to work closely with every member of the team and contribute holistically to our product, while maintaining frequent communication with our audience.

After it was published, I mentored a group of web designers and creators as the took the WCT course, gathering feedback and helping them create Wix tutorials. I also helped create on boarding materials and assets for presentation to help our Ambassadors all over the world. And one of my personal favorite projects was hosting over 25 weekly Facebook Live streams interviewing various web designers and online marketing experts from our community.
