In October 2019 we held the first annual BUILT BY GIRLS Summit. Hundreds of young women and non-binary students came together to learn, network, and make real connections. Experts lead workshops and gave talks on overcoming imposter syndrome, budgeting, setting solid, achievable goals, nailing the interview, how to show up authentically at work—just to name a few
The Problem
The problem was, our community spans the nation and the in-person event was only accessible to those in California (or with the means to travel).
The Solution
To create a Digital Toolkit that would bring the experience to our entire community through a collection of articles, resources, and guides.
Process
Work closely with UX designer to plan most effective layout
Assemble and lead team of student writers to cover talks and workshops
Edit and produce PDF resource pages for each talk
Incorporate existing content to drive traffic to BUILT BY GIRLS Blog
Publish and promote through email marketing and social media
